It's a weird and wonderful world we live in...

Meet Toko, from Japan, who has spent £12,500 transforming himself into a rough collie.

Toko, whose costume was created by the Zeppet agency in 40 days, now uploads videos of his canine existence to his YouTube channel. Hey, don't judge, everyone needs a hobby.

Toko explains in an introductory video; "I became a rough collie because I wanted to be an animal. From now on I'm thinking of uploading videos at my own pace."

In his latest video, titled 'I became a rough collie and relaxed on the sofa', Toko first appears in his lifelike dog costume, slowly plodding towards the pathetically small piece of furniture.

“I thought that a big animal close to my size would be good – considering that it would be a realistic model, so I decided to make it a dog.”

A Zeppet employee also spoke about how his team managed to figure out ways in which a dog’s figure can correspond with that of a human.

“The point is that the skeleton of a dog can be reproduced on the skeleton of a human. Since the structure of the skeleton is very different, we spent a lot of time studying how to make it look like a dog,” the employee told Japanese outlet Mynavi.

“In addition, we collect photographs taken from various angles so that the beautiful coat of the collie can be reproduced and devised so that the coat will flow naturally.”

The clip has been viewed over 7,600 times, with many in the comments section hailing Toko as "cute".

People who live alternative lives as animals are often called 'Furries'. People in the furry community will take on their 'fursona' (an alternate persona) and interact with other 'fursonas' in the community via roleplaying and art.
