Punch the air. Comedy legend Peter Kay is making a welcome comeback — six years after pulling the plug on his nationwide live tour due to personal reasons.

The comedian is thought to be putting on a huge new stand-up show which will include London’s O2 Arena and Manchester’s AO Arena next year for the first time in 14 years.

A source told The Sun: “He has lined up huge venues across the country including in Manchester, London and Birmingham and is hoping to announce it in September.”

The insider added: “Peter has not performed a live stand-up set on a big stage in well over a decade now but he could not be more ready to get back out there.”

In 2018, the star cancelled his sold-out nationwide tour and shared: “Due to unforeseen family circumstances I deeply regret I am having to cancel all of my upcoming work projects.

“My sincerest apologies. This decision has not been taken lightly and I’m sure you’ll understand my family must always come first.”

We can't wait to have him back.
