As if the thought of Cillian Murphy coming back to reprise his role of Tommy Shelby in a new Peaky Blinders movie wasn’t exciting enough, another big name has just been added to the cast.
It is reported by Deadline that Rebecca Ferguson has signed up to the upcoming Netflix movie.
The Swedish actor is known for playing Ilsa Faust in the Mission: Impossible franchise, and Lady Jessica in Dune and Dune 2. She has also starred in TV series The White Queen, and portrays Juliette Nichols in science fiction dystopian drama Silo.

At this stage, it has not been revealed what her role will be in the movie, and the narrative in general remains largely under wraps.
What we do know is that the movie has been written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, and it will be helmed by Tom Harper, who directed on the TV series.
Filming is expected to get underway later this year.
There currently haven’t been any other announcements regarding who, aside from Ferguson and lead actor Cillian Murphy, will be in the new film.
Oppenheimer actor Murphy sent a message to fans via the Netflix X account, when the project was confirmed last month. He said: “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me…
"It is very gratifying to be recollaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans.”
Meanwhile, creator Knight said in a statement: "I'm genuinely thrilled that this movie is about to happen. It will be an explosive chapter in the Peaky Blinders story. No holds barred. Full-on Peaky Blinders at war."
Knight, earlier this year, said that the narrative will be set during World War II. As yet, there is no confirmed release date.
In related news, Knight’s other upcoming Netflix project, House of Guinness, has just revealed a stellar cast.
The series will tell the epic story of one of Europe’s most eccentric and enduring dynasties, and will star James Norton, who is best known for playing villain Tommy Lee Royce in Happy Valley.
It also features Seamus O'Hara (Lee Thompson from Blue Lights), and other stars from the likes of Game of Thrones, Enola Holmes, Black Mirror and Normal People. Read all about it here.
