Michelle Keegan celebrates massive Fool Me Once milestone

Fool Me Once star Michelle Keegan has taken to social media to celebrate an impressive milestone for the hit Netflix show.

The Brassic and Ten Pound Poms actor played the lead role in the adaptation of Harlan Coben’s 2016 novel of the same name.

The eight-part drama, which landed on Netflix at the start of 2024, also stars Joanna Lumley and Richard Armitage, and sees Michelle plays single mum Maya Stern, who is struggling after the murder of husband Joe. However, all is not what it seems when she spots him alive in nanny cam footage after his funeral.

Such was the popularity of the series, that it has become one of Netflix’s most-watched series of all-time, based on its first three months on the streaming service. 

Former Corrie star Michelle marked the achievement by posting a series of photos on Instagram, some from the set of Fool Me Once, and one of a cake that celebrates the good news.

She wrote: “Celebratory 🎂 is in order.”

The actor added: “#FOOLMEONCE made No.6 on Netflix’ Most Popular List (OF. ALL. TIME) based on 98,200,000 views in our first 91 days!! 🤯🎉

Following the success of Fool Me Once, another adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel is coming to Netflix, boasting a stellar cast of British talent, including stars from Slow Horses, Fool Me Once, Inside No. 9, Sex Education and more.

Missing You will be the ninth onscreen adaptation from the bestselling author and will feature Rosalind Eleazar from Slow Horses, as well as Lenny Henry and Taskmaster’s Steve Pemberton.

Paul Kaye, Mary Malone, Samantha Spiro and Lisa Faulkner also feature, as does Jessica Plummer and Richard Armitage, who was in Fool Me Once. Read all about it.
