Jon Bon Jovi confirms son Jake’s engagement to Millie Bobby Brown and insists 'age doesn’t matter'

Jon Bon Jovi has officially confirmed that his son, Jake Bongiovi, is engaged to Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown. 

The young couple seemingly shared their major relationship news back in April after sharing black-and-white photos with Millie sporting a new diamond ring on her wedding ring finger. While the ring pointed to the couple’s impending nuptials, neither Jake nor Millie fully confirmed if they were actually engaged. 

Now, Bon Jovi icon Jon has officially made it clear the two are set to tie the knot and opened up about his son’s impending nuptials while on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show in the US. 

After being congratulated by Andy for the “big engagement,” the rocker replied: “Mmm, the latest one. Three of my four [kids are now engaged].”

It seems the couple’s young age, with Jake at 20 and Millie at 19, doesn’t phase the superstar father, who himself married his high school sweetheart, Dorothea. 

When asked if he was worried about the couple getting married so young, Jon said: “I don’t know if age matters. If you find the right partner and you grow together… my advice really is growing together. [That’s] wise.

“I think all of my kids have found the people they think they can grow together with and we like ‘em all.”

Giving his reaction to his soon-to-be daughter-in-law, the music legend added: “Millie’s wonderful. Her whole family are great. Jake is very, very happy.”

Millie and Jake met on social media platform Instagram in 2021 and made their big red carpet debut at the BAFTA Film Awards in March 2022. 

Jake is the third child of Jon and wife Dorothea. The famous offspring doesn’t have plans to follow his father’s footsteps and go into music, he has instead turned to acting, starring in Sweethearts and Rockbottom.
