Exciting news for Harry Potter fans as it’s claimed the cast of the much-loved films are planning a reunion of sorts.
It comes as the twenty-year anniversary of the first film approaches, and it’s hoped that Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson would be up for a reunion show.
Inside sources claim Warner Brothers are trying to arrange a reunion show similar to the recent ‘Friends’ smash hit.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer got together again got a series of interviews to celebrate the hit sitcom.
An event is reportedly being planned this month at Warner Brothers Studio Tour London.
It’s hopes that major stars of the Harry Potter series will come together for it to be interviewed on camera for a tv documentary.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “The proposed show is being shrouded in secrecy as franchise bosses want to get talent locked in first.
“It would be amazing if they pull it off and they have offered big money to the cast to reunite.
“Many of the actors have moved on, but the movies launched them to superstardom.
“They all have lots of fond memories from their time filming together. Everyone is hopeful it will happen.”
Fans have long said they would love another movie, and just this week Harry Potter director Chris Columbus said he’d love to reunite the cast for a sequel.
He directed the first two Potter films, and has now said he’s itching to bring the theatre sequel The Cursed Child to the cinema.
He said: “I’d love to direct Cursed Child. It’s a great play and the kids are actually the right age.”
The Cursed Child is based decades after the original Harry Potter books.
It sees the children of the main characters attending Hogwarts.
The story focuses on Harry and Draco Malfoy’s sons, in the smash-hit stage show. Fans would be over the moon if the show as turned into a big screen success.
