Dolly Parton and Sir Paul McCartney team up to cover Let It Be

Truly a duet of dreams, country legend Dolly Parton invited Sir Paul McCartney to collaborate with her on a cover of the iconic Beatles tune.

It comes as part of Dolly's forthcoming rock album.

She will also be teaming up with the likes of Stevie Nicks and Pink for the new project.

Parton confirmed in a TV interview that she had reached out to Sir Paul, but has now confirmed which tune they will be covering.

In a new appearance on 'The Rachael Ray Show', she said: "Paul McCartney sang with me on 'Let It Be'.

"I've got a lot of wonderful iconic songs that people love and wonderful iconic singers joining me on them."

As well as the list of stars already confirmed, she teased that she will "hopefully" work with Cher for the album.

She also revealed that her goddaughter Miley Cyrus would "definitely" take part.

She said: "We're definitely going to have her on."

Stevie Nicks has released some new tour dates, and she has also teamed up with Dolly for a song, the singer revealed: "Stevie Nicks … we just finished our song last night."

Dolly has also messaged Sir Elton John asking him to duet with her on 'Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me'.
