Former Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora has hinted there could be a reunion in the very near future - and potentially at Glastonbury Festival.
The Livin’ On A Prayer hitmakers are one of a few legendary bands to have never headlined the infamous music event, but Richie appeared on stage with Dolly Parton during her Legends slot in 2014.
Richie left the New Jersey-based band back in 2013, but has remained on good terms with the remaining members of the group. He was even on hand to perform with them during their 2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
While speaking to Metro, the rocker let it slip that a full reunion could be taking place next year, and on one of the biggest stages around.
Richie told the publication: “It’s a possibility. We’re talking a bit,” which he reportedly said with a ‘cheeky smile on his face.’
On his stellar performance with country music queen Dolly, Richie reminisced: “It was the first time I played Glastonbury but just playing with her was just tremendous. She’s a friend through other friends and she covered one of my songs.
“She’s a sweetheart and she’s that good. Consummate professional and she’s still here, what a legacy. Amazing.”
While we await official confirmation on whether Bon Jovi might reunite with Richie once more, the chart-topper recently revealed he was working on new music of his own.
Richie’s last solo work was Aftermath of the Lowdown in 2012, so fans have been waiting a long time to hear any new music.
Anyone wanting to know when we could hear from the Hall of Famer is in luck, as Richie explained to virginradio.co.uk that long-awaited new material is definitely on the way.
When asked what kind of sound fans could look forward to hearing, Richie explained: “I'm very proud of it. I don't write bad songs anymore. I just don't, it just doesn't happen.
“It's not hard for me. I'm just lucky that way. I just write all the time. So it's like a daily exercise for me. I try to come up with something every day. It's like having a journal. It's like keeping a journal of your thoughts, keeping the journal of what's going on in your life, how you're feeling.”
