New Year’s Eve will be a big night for the Pet Shop Boys!

The iconic synth-pop pairing of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe will be welcoming in 2023 at the famous Hogmanay Concert in the Gardens on 31st December in Edinburgh.

Fans will no doubt be pleased to hear that Pet Shop Boys will perform their Dreamworld greatest hits, with tunes spanning their 40 year career.

The Scottish capital will hold the NYE Hogmanay festival for the first time since 2019 following the cancellation of both 2020 and 2021 events due to COVID pandemic restrictions.

The West End Girls performers previously played the infamous concert in 2013, and said in a new statement: “2022 has been an incredible year, when we have loved being able to perform again after the restrictions arising from the pandemic.

“We can’t think of a better way to round off this year than by celebrating the start of 2023 in Edinburgh.”

Not only will NYE revellers enjoy a special set from the duo, but there will also be special guest DJs as part of their three-day celebrations, ending on 1st January.

The news comes after the Grammy-nominated band announced their upcoming Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live 2023 tour dates

The band will put on a rip-roaring show at London’s Wembley and arenas in Aberdeen, Liverpool and Leeds in June 2023.

Tickets are available now for their critically acclaimed tour which kicks off at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on 17 June and closing in Leeds on 24 June.

Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live tour is their first ever greatest hits tour,  with their Unity gigs coming to a close in North America earlier this year.

The Dreamwold gigs been described as 'clever, stylish, sometimes poignant, often euphoric' and 'a two-hour joyous celebration of their decades of holding pop to a higher standard'.
