Supergrass’ eponymous third album, originally released in 1999, is getting a special extended reissue which will feature previously unheard demos, B-sides, remixes, and rare live cuts.

The album featured hit singles Pumping On Your Stereo and Moving, as well as Mary. It hit the top five in the UK album chart.

Supergrass took to Twitter to announce the upcoming release of the remastered album, saying: “We are excited to announce our classic 1999 album 'Supergrass' remastered. Available as 1LP Black Heavy Weight & Neon Orange vinyl and also as 2CD format with bonus disc of Demos, B-Sides & Lives.”

The deluxe 2022 reissue has been remastered from original sources and re-cut on both black heavyweight vinyl and neon orange vinyl. On top of this, the original LP artwork has been resourced, recreated and repackaged.

If compact discs are your format of choice, then the band are also releasing the album as a 2CD digipack, which contains the remastered album as well as studio out-takes, never before heard demos, B-sides, rare live tracks and exclusive 2022 remixes: two re-imagined singles by John Leckie and Mick Quinn, and two remixed deep cuts by Mick Quinn and John Cornfield.

The 20-page inlay booklet on both formats features band photos, original single artwork and new sleeve notes by music journalist and broadcaster, Charles Shaar Murray.
