Paul McCartney announces new box set

Happy 80th birthday Paul McCartney! And there's a new box set to celebrate.

"Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty-four" sang The Beatles in 1967.

Paul McCartney, who wrote said song, is eighty today and the answer is an emphatic 'yes' and 'absolutely, what kind of cake do you like?' (We bet it's carrot cake).

To celebrate this milestone, Macca is releasing three of his solo albums together in a new box set. The three records are his debut solo album, 1970's McCartney, 1980's McCartney II and from 2020, his most recent solo album, McCartney III. The releases span 50 years of music making.

Gathered together for the first time, this new limited edition box set arrives on August 5th, and is available on black vinyl, limited colour vinyl, and CD. The release comes with special photo prints with notes from Paul himself about each album. And you can pre-order it here.

Oh by the way, apparently Sir Paul's favourite flavour of cake is lemon drizzle (we Googled).
