Alfie Templeman to support The Wombats at Halloween Town Festival

Alfie Templeman is set for a terrifyingly terrific hometown gig, as he is playing the final night of the UK’s biggest Halloween event, Halloween Town Festival.

The rising star, who grew up in the small village of Carlton in Bedfordshire, will support The Wombats, who headline the festival at The Great Meadow in Bedford, which takes place from 28th-30th October. 

Alfie’s brand new album, Mellow Moon, landed last week, and he’ll certainly be well in the groove of playing his new songs live by the time he arrives at Halloween Town Festival on October 30th, as he is touring extensively between now and then. He has a run of shows in Australia, Europe and the UK over the next few months.

Earlier this year, Alfie played a cracking live session on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky.

While at Virgin Radio for his session from the top of the tower, Alfie told Chris about how he first got into music: “I listened to a lot of Rush growing up. That’s what kick-started me into making music. I loved Neil Peart, his drumming, so I took that upon myself, started playing drums and then just taught myself everything else."

Alfie and The Wombats will rock out at Halloween Town Festival on a three-storey, sugar skull-themed stage, with 40ft LED screen, amid “spectacular, immersive Halloween entertainment”. Festival-goers will experience “a dystopian future where bizarre and scary performers roam and guests are encouraged to dress up to become part of the show.”

Halloween Town Festival launched last year and saw 15,000 guests in attendance. This year’s Friday and Saturday headliners are still to be announced.
