Having teamed up with rock legend Dave Grohl on cracking recent single, Everything's Electric, the Oasis icon has shared how he also worked with Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig for his upcoming song, Moscow Rules.

Liam Gallagher’s third studio solo album, C’mon You Know, is set to be released on May 27th, following his previous two offerings, 2017's As You Were, and Why Me? Why Not, from 2019. When speaking to Jasper Leijdens on the KINK In Touch podcast, the musician said that Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend appears on the new record.

While not giving too much away about the song, Liam said on the podcast: “Ezra plays some mad instruments on a song called Moscow Rules.”

Liam also chatted about his collaboration with Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl on the LP. He said: “We’d finished the album, we had all the songs done. I was going off to the pub to have a little drink to celebrate, and I get a phone call, saying, ‘Could you have a look at this song?’

“I went and had a listen to it. No vocals. So, I thought ‘Yeah, alright’. So, the next day, I went in there, put some vocals on, and this is what happens. I’m very pleased with it. Dave Grohl’s a great songwriter.”

The former Oasis man said that he and Grohl were supposed to work together on Why Me? Why Not, but it didn’t end up happening. On finally managing to work together on Everything’s Electric however, the Manchester artist said: “I think we got a good tune out of it.”

Gallagher played the song at The Brits this week:

Meanwhile, during his recent appearance on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky on Virgin Radio, Liam also spoke about his massive Knebworth shows on June 3rd and June 4th of this year, saying: “I’m blown away by it. I still can't get my head around it. We sold it out, we're going to be going back there, hashtag blessed as they say.”
