Coldplay are releasing their tenth studio album in October, but if you can’t wait until then to hear new music from the band, then you’re in luck.

Whilst their next LP - titled Moon Music - lands on 4th October, the massive-selling group are sharing the first single from it as soon as this week.

The new tune, called feelslikeimfallinginlove, will arrive on Friday 21st June.

The upcoming album has been produced by Max Martin, who has worked with the likes of Taylor Swift and The Weeknd, and, in keeping with Coldplay’s eco-consciousness, will be available on vinyl made from 100 percent recycled plastic bottles.

Each vinyl copy of the album will contain nine recycled PET-plastic bottles that have been recovered from post-consumer waste. It is suggested that this will subsequently prevent the manufacture of more than 25 metric tonnes of virgin plastic, and provide an 85 percent reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional 140g vinyl.

Similarly, CDs of the record will be the first in the world to be released on EcoCD, made from 90 percent recycled polycarbonate, sourced from post-consumer waste streams.

There will be various formats and bundles of Moon Music, which include a limited Notebook Edition of the record, which comes as a casebound hardback book, a replica of frontman Chris Martin’s original studio notebook. It will feature notes, lyrics and illustrations from the album’s creation.

There are also limited signed editions available via pre-order.

Coldplay are in the midst of their world tour, and last night teased new music at their Budapest show. Whether they play anything new when they headline Glastonbury Festival later this month remains to be seen.

The band will close the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm on Saturday 29th June, and in the process will become the first act to headline the festival on five separate occasions.

Moon Music lands on 4th October, and single feelslikeimfallinginlove will arrive on Friday 21st June.
