Dave Grohl and co are back with a heartbreaking new song, and will be performing a livestream this weekend.

After teasing new music for weeks with clever social media posts, Foo Fighters are back with a new song officially.

The song is an emotional new single, called 'Under You'.

The lyrics include: ‘Someone said I’ll never see your face again / Part of me just can’t believe it’s true / Pictures of us sharing songs and cigarettes / This is how I’ll always picture you.’

Fans are interpreting the lyrics as being a nod to the tragic death of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins.

The beautiful new song is taken from the forthcoming new album, called 'But Here We Are'.

The record is due to be released on June 2nd, and has been referred to as “a brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters have endured recently”, and “a testament to the healing powers of music, friendship and family”.

The band have also revealed there will be a free global streaming event on May 21st.

You can watch it at 8pm BST / 3pm EST / 12pm PST.

It will feature "performances, behind the scenes and more".
