Hozier: Unreal Earth Tour 2023 dates announced

The Irish superstar posted a slew of European tour dates this morning (16th June) to promote the release of his third studio album.

The tour will have the rocker play arenas across thirteen major cities, with UK fans being treated to five separate dates around the country. The biggest of which will see the singer croon to 12,500 fans at Wembley Arena.

The Unreal Earth tour is sure to be a complete sell out across the board, and as an extra bonus for fans that are quick off the block Hozier is offering the chance to pre-order the new album of the same name when tickets go on sale at 9am BST on Friday 23rd June.

Gearing up for this monumental tour, Hozier is about to go out on the road again with a small run of shows, starting on the 21st of June in Sheffield and stopping off at Alexandra Palace at the end of July.

It's certainly an exciting time fans and the musician himself as this year marks a decade since the Diamond-certified anthem 'Take Me To Church' catapulted him to international fame which peaked at no.2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It also marks the first time the Grammy-nominated artist released an album of any kind in four years, with his three track EP, titled Eat Your Young, coming out in March. His last release being the 2019 studio album Wasteland, Baby!

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Hozier explained that the upcoming album has been inspired by Dante’s Inferno, after he started reading the 14th century poem during lockdown.

“The album is quite eclectic and there’s something of a retrospective in what the sounds lean into,” said Hozier. ““There’s some moments that are a bit more old school and stuff that’s Nineties grunge sounding too. For other moments we were leaning into playing with a lot of synthesisers.”

Speaking on the forthcoming summer shows Heritage Live promoter, Giles Cooper said: “Hozier is one of those special artists that only comes around once in a while, and he is undoubtedly one of the most talented artists in a generation. It’s been a driving ambition of us all at Heritage Live to stage a show for him and we really can’t wait!”
