This brilliant TikTok hack helps to defrost a windscreen from inside the car

One TikTok user has managed to blow the minds of drivers everywhere with this ingenious hack that helps to defrost a windscreen in no time at all. 

The video uploader, Sara Deutsch, shared this insanely easy hack to get that frosted windscreen clear and sorted without leaving your car, and without any extra scraping. 

In the clip, Sara (or @saraedeutsch) explains: “I do this video every year. When you have a windshield that is frosted over make sure you put your visors down so that it stops the air flow and creates a faster defrost on your windshield.

"If you ever have a sheet of ice or when it's frosted, put this down and it creates a block so that it actually defrosts faster."

Sara then demonstrates how her windscreen was quickly losing its icicles with the sun visors down, which creates a flow of hot air directed at your screen, as opposed to up and into the car. 

She captioned the video: “Teen drivers need to know this! Frozen windshield are about to be a thing with all the cold and snow.”

From the comments, it’s not just teen drivers who loved the time-saving advice, but those who have been driving for years while succumbing to scraping that ice off. 

One viewer commented: “I’m sorry a teen driver… i just learnt this at 32 lol,” while another said: “I’m 48 and I never knew this.”

Others started sharing other helpful tips to beat the cold, with one writing: “Also wash the inside of the window in fall. The grime allows frost easier on the inside. Great tip on the visors, didn’t know that one!”

Another added: “Just use a plastic bag with cold water and rub it over your window outside. Much easier and quicker.”
