We might be in August, but the brains behind the delicious festive treats at Cadbury are busy announcing their Christmas line up.

With the ongoing heat of summer in the middle of the school holidays, it’s hard to believe we’re only a few short months away from starting the Christmas shopping once again, and now Cadbury have our mouths watering with their latest festive idea.

Introducing The Advent Bar, the chocolate maker’s very first chocolate bar designed to help count down the days to Christmas, which is a refreshing change from the traditional calendar.

It might look like an ordinary chocolate treat, but open up the wrapper and it is in fact a Christmas tree-shaped bar, with break-away chunks designed for people to snap off in the lead up to the big day.

Sounds like a delicious idea, and a real test of willpower in the days before Christmas!

The Cadbury Dairy Milk Advent Tablet Calendar is currently listed on the Cadbury Gifts Direct site for £3.49 and described as a “novelty shaped tree with numbered tree chunks to break off each day of count down to Advent. A great reduced packaging solution for Christmas Advent count down."

Also on the Cadbury’s Christmas list of delectable treats to make us wish it was December, are the Christmas Tree Kits, Festive Favourites gift box and Cadbury Puds.

Speaking of chocolate, Cadbury has also released a new limited-edition flavour of one of its most popular chocolate bars.

Wispa Gold Salted Caramel is the brand new flavour from Cadbury that has hit the shelves today, mixing the classic bubbly chocolate that we know and love with a soft salted caramel centre.

The RRP of the limited-edition chocolate bar is just 69p, but retailers are able to set their own prices, so you might have to check.

As part of the exciting launch, Cadbury is celebrating the occasion by challenging fans of Wispa Gold to break into a virtual vault via an audio game to win a free limited-edition bar.

If you want to get your hands on one of these chocolate bars before anyone else, you’ll need to find and scan one of the QR codes that have been hidden around the nation or by clicking through one of the adverts that pop up on social media.
