If you miss the days of browsing for just the right video in Blockbusters, this new bar is the place for you.

The last Blockbuster store closed eight years ago, as the world of streaming took over.

Found in Manchester's Northern Quarter, you'll soon be able to get your nostalgia fix thanks to Blockbuster NQ.

It's due to open in a few weeks, and pays tribute to the beloved video store.

The colour scheme features the iconic yellow and blue scheme, and there'll be plenty of retro throwbacks to make you feel like you've gone back in time.

The walls are covered in video cassettes, with vintage TVs all over the venue playing cult classic films.

They'll be playing iconic film soundtracks, too.

As you might expect, the drinks aren't your average fare, either.

You can enjoy a PG & T; a G&T with a pomegranate twist, the VHS’presso martini and the Alcopop-corn cocktail; a creamy and sweet popcorn inspired drink.

There will also be popcorn with a twist, including flavours like ‘roast chicken’ and ‘beef burger’.

Downstairs there is a speakeasy-like bar with art deco-cinema decor.

Owner Stewart Dean said: “I truly wanted to make somewhere special that people get excited by. I was a huge fan of video stores and my favourite bars are those that immerse you in a secret or provide a bit of an escape. I thought what better homage to an iconic part of our history than to create a parody of Blockbuster, one where you can drink, and the only returns here are for another hit of fun and nostalgia.”
