There's nothing more frustrating than when your phone starts grinding to a halt.
We're practically attached to our devices nowadays, and that can mean things start slowing down.
Does everyone know that phones start to become s bit slugging after a few years, but what about when you've only had it for a few months?
Before you rush to fork out for a new phone, there's a simple trick that can boost the speed and battery life.
One Reddit user realised their new iPhone 13 was running slowly on about half of the power they would expect.
The clever individual shared their tips in a forum to share the knowledge with everyone else.
It involves doing a forced reboot of the phone.
It's different than just switching it off and on again (the iconic tech trick), as it gives everything a proper reset and can boost your phone back up a gear.
One word of warning: make sure you've backed everything up.
Apple Support says you should only do it as a last resort, if a normal restart doesn't fix the problem.
To force reboot, you need to press and quickly release the volume up button, followed by the same on the volume down button, and then press and hold the side button.
Next, hold down the side button until the Apple logo appears and then let go. One reddit user clarified: "When you hold down the power button, the normal "Slide to power off" slider appears after a few seconds. Do not let go and keep on holding down the power button," until the logo comes up.
The phone will then restart.
The good news is, this works on older phones too as well as the 13.
Will you give it go?
