In a rush, sir? The internet has erupted after a man left his car in the middle of a cycle lane. Photo evidence of the terrible parking has been shared online leaving people fuming.

Twitter user Thomas Cornwallis took the snap of the grey Vauxhall Astra parked in Glasgow on Victoria Road in the city's south side.

Sharing it on Twitter, he wrote: “The lovely guy in orange ran up to me to ask why I took a photo.

“I said because how badly it’s parked. He claimed it’s parked completely safely and that I am a p***k.”

One person commented: “Needs proper enforcement. Can’t be up to civilians to point out the unacceptable!”

Another said: “I'd like to see him reverse it into the number 9 bus when he tries to get out.”

Someone else said: “That has gone past the tipping point from ‘parked’ to ‘dumped.’”

One user commented: "So if I left my van across 40% of the road, that'd be all good, right?"
