Dancing on Ice star Nile Wilson is throwing everything he’s got into the grand final on Sunday night (12th March).

Nile will join fellow finalists The Vivienne and Joey Essex on the ice for the last time, with all three hoping to impress enough to make it through to the final two.

Those last two skating couples chosen will then perform the infamous Bolero routine, made famous by judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

For gymnast Nile though, he’s keeping his head down to completely wow the judges and audience with his Olympic prowess to the ice, and has admitted he’s bringing something “never seen on the show before.”

While speaking to virginradio.co.uk and other press ahead of Sunday’s finale, Nile, alongside skating partner Olivia Smart, explained: “We’re very, very grateful and buzzing to have got into this position. It’s a big change this week from what it’s been because we have learned a lot more and skated a lot more. We've been on the ice for five hours a day in the last two days, which has been a shock to the system to try to learn three routines instead of one.

“We'll get there, we always do. We're really, really buzzing to show you what we've got on Sunday, we've been choreographing these routines. We’re going to bring the competition and also bring things that have never been seen on the show before for sure.”

Even Olivia shared she’s been taken aback by Nile’s upcoming routines on the ice, and said fans should expect to see performances that even the pros can’t manage.

“There's going to be things that have not been seen before on the show, but also in my competitive figure skating world,” Olivia explained. “We have three routines, so one of them is the showcase routine, another is a battle skate and the third hopefully will be the Bolero.

“This showcase skate will be more action-packed tricks, we'll be bringing in a lot of Nile gymnastic skills into the routine. There's definitely going to be things in there that pro skaters cannot do. He's the only person that can do that. Those are going to be the wild effects that he's bringing, without giving anything away. They're the things that Bile can bring into the show and our performance that are going to be the wow factor.”

Nile, reality star Joey Essex and Drag Race star The Vivienne will hit the ice in front of judges Torvill and Dean, as well as Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo.

It was a shock double elimination in the semi-finals, after both The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran and Coronation Street actress Mollie Gallagher were sent home.

Dancing on Ice: The Final airs on Sunday 12th March at 6:30pm.
