Marvel star Jeremy Renner has revealed his brand new project, and he’s swapping movie-making for some home renovations.

Two months after his terrifying snow plough accident, the Hawkeye actor announced via social media that his new reality docu-series, titled Rennervations, will land on Disney+ in April.

On New Year’s Day, the Avengers and Bourne Legacy star was helping his adult nephew get his truck out of the snow in Reno, Nevada, when his plough ran him over, causing over 30 broken bones and blunt chest trauma. He was airlifted to the hospital, where he underwent surgery

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Renner will return to his hometown of Reno alongside visits to Chicago, Cabo San Lucas in Mexico and Rajasthan in India. He will then join a team of expert builders to identify decommissioned vehicles that can have a new lease of life.

Speaking in a statement, the star said: “I’ve been on this journey for many years, and I started in my community by building vehicles for people in need. But a few years ago, I thought: How can I plus this up and create a bigger impact on a whole community? And that’s what this show does.

“This is one of my biggest passions and it’s a driving force in my recovery, and I can’t wait for the world to see it.”

Rennervations is the first show Renner has announced following his accident, while the second series of Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown also aired just a few weeks after the ordeal. Both were filmed before he was hospitalised.

Sharing a recovering update with his fans at the end of February, Renner reassured fans he would be doing “whatever it takes” to make a full recovery.

The star posted a video to his Instagram Stories, showing him pedalling on an exercise bike with one leg while holding onto a tool in his hand to help him pedal.

Renner has been keeping fans up to date with his recovery via social media. Shortly after the incident in January, he posted on Twitter, saying: “I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness. Much love and appreciation to you all. These 30 plus broken bones will mend , grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens.”

Rennervations will land on Disney+ on 12th April.
