The heroes in a half shell are coming back! A new animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is on its way and it features a whole host of celebrity voices.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is produced by Canadian actor, comedian and filmmaker Seth Rogen, who is known for starring in the likes of Superbad and This is the End, as well as producing movies such as The Disaster Artist and Bad Neighbours.

The vocal cast includes Paul Rudd, who is currently in cinemas as the titular character in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. He will voice Mondo Gecko in the TNMT reboot, and will be joined by John Cena as Rocksteady and the legendary Jackie Chan as the also-legendary Splinter.

Meanwhile, Bridesmaids duo Rose Byrne and Maya Rudolph will feature as Leatherhead and Cynthia Utrom, respectively.

Stath Lets Flats star Natasia Demetriou will play Wingnut, and rap icon Ice Cube will voice Superfly. As well as producing, Seth Rogen will also be the voice of Bebop.

The narrative will see the Turtle brothers attempt to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts, having spent years sheltered from the human world.

Their new pal April O'Neil (Ayo Edebiri from The Bear) helps them take on a notorious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them. Uh oh.

A trailer for the animated movie has been released. Have a look here:

The turtles are voiced by Micah Abbey (Donatello), Shamon Brown Jr. (Michelangelo), Nicolas Cantu (Leonardo), and Brady Noon (Raphael).

The impressive vocal cast also includes Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog and musician Post Malone as Ray Fillet.

Jeff Rowe will make his feature-length directorial debut.

Cowabunga!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will arrive in cinemas from 4th August.
