A trailer for Amazon Prime’s upcoming thriller The Consultant has been revealed starring Christoph Waltz as every worker’s nightmare.
The actor plays Regus Patoff, who is hired as a consultant to improve a tech business called CompWare. However, he expects a lot out of his employees as they experience new demands and challenges that puts everything into question, even their lives.
During his first meeting with the company, he tells his employees: “For those who work remotely, you have one hour to get here, or you’ll be terminated”.
In the trailer, it seems Patoff arrives at CompWare after the death of their former CEO and workers soon find out his last job was for a company whose CEO died just two weeks before he joined the team.
At another point, Craig (an employee) is chatting with Patoff at a bar and asks him: “How are you enjoying the gaming industry?”
To which a distracted Patoff replies: “How many of these patrons do you think we could fight? I think I could fight four of them and you could subdue the remaining three”.

He then breaks out into creepy laughter.
The Consultant is based on Bentley Little’s 2015 novel of the same name and also stars Natt Wolf as Craig, Brittany O’Grady as Elaine and Aimee Carrero as Patti. Tony Basgallop (Servant) will be joining as creator, showrunner and executive producer alongside pilot director Matt Shakman (Game of Thrones, WandaVision). Waltz will also serve as executive producer with Steve Stark and Andrew Mittman.

The Consultant premieres on 24th February on Prime Video.
