There are not many people who don't want to hang out with broadcaster extraordinaire Louis Theroux, but Gordon Ramsay is most definitely one of them.

The prolific chef never wants to meet the presenter because he doesn't want to shatter any pre-conceptions and be disappointed.

Citing Louis and his programmes as his go-to-TV-viewing, the food guru is adamant he doesn't want to come face-to-face with his tele hero.

He told Radio Times: "I’m determined not to meet him. I’ve just got this lovely perception of the clever quirkiness, the way he gets the question answered while looking so vulnerable.

"I’d just get too excited with him. I’m like a dog with a bone and Louis is super-reserved…"

The chef is due to begin filming for his reality show, BBC's Gordon's Future Food Stars, Down Under, which sees 12 entrepreneurs battle it out for a £150,000 (AUD $261,474) investment to help one up-and-coming cook set up a business.

The chef has also admitted to never tuning into ITV2's Love Island incase his offspring Tilly, Megan or Holly pop up.

Gordon explained about his TV nightmare: “Love Island… thinking that, one day, one of my daughters is going to be on there without telling me. I don’t watch, just in case.”

He added: "I’m not good with A&E documentaries, especially when someone passes at the end of it."

Gordon's Future Food Stars will be served up later this year.
