It’s been quite a year for Jill Scott. Not only did she win the Euros with the Lionesses, but she then went on to triumph in the latest series of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!. Reflecting on her success, she says: “I'm watching my life through someone else's eyes.”

The former footballer spoke to virginradio.co.uk and other press from the red carpet of the National Lottery’s Big Bash, set to air on ITV on 31st December. When asked how it feels to have won I'm A Celeb, she told us she feels like she is “just coming back down to earth, to be honest.”

She added: “It was amazing to win such an iconic show, and just to be a part of it, I think the main thing is going to be the friendships that I take from the jungle. Great memories and ones that will live forever.”

Jill explained that she hasn’t had the chance to watch any of the show back yet. “This past week has been such a whirlwind,” she said. “But I am gonna sit down and watch a couple of episodes a night, and I'm looking forward to that.”

On whether she is coming to terms with the fact that you won the hit ITV show, the ex-England player told us: “It hasn't even sunk in, really. It really hasn't. I think, when we won the Euros in the summer, I kind of felt like I wasn't part of it. It was a weird feeling. And then I'm kind of feeling like that now. Like I'm watching my life through someone else's eyes. So yeah, surreal moments, but hopefully I can kind of come to terms with everything and then look forward to 2023.”

When talking about how she has settled back into being in the UK after her time in the jungle, Jill said: “I went straight back to normal life by buying a big bag of frozen chips in the supermarket. And it was in the paper the next day. So that was a bit of a surreal moment!”

The National Lottery’s Big Bash will air on 31st December on ITV.
