Nicolas Cage and his wife Riko Shibata welcome first baby together

Nicolas Cage and his wife Riko Shibata have welcomed their first baby together.

The pair have a new baby daughter called August Francesca Coppola Cage.

The baby is Riko's first and Nic's third.

He is already dad to Kal-El Coppola, 16, with his ex Alice Kim, and Weston Coppola, 31, who he had with Christina Fulton.

A rep told People: ‘Nicolas and Riko are happy to announce the birth of their daughter. Mother and daughter are doing fine.’

The couple married in February 2021.

They previously said they wanted to call her Lennon Augie, but the chosen name honours Cage's late father, August Coppola.

He was a literature professor and the brother of famed director Francis Ford Coppola.

Nicolas said previously: "There’s no version of Nic Cage in reality that doesn’t want to spend time with his children.

"There’s no version of Nic Cage that didn’t put family first over career.’

He added: "I turned down Lord of the Rings and I turned down Matrix because I didn’t want to go to New Zealand for three years or Australia for three years because I needed to be home with my son Weston. That’s a fact."

After their wedding, Cage announced: "It’s true, and we are very happy."

Riko is his fifth wife.

He was previously married to Patricia Arquette from 1995 to 2001, and then Lisa Marie Presley from 2002 to 2004. 

His marriage to Alice Kim lasted for two years until 2016, but his marriage to Erika Koike ended after days.
