Neighbours star Alan Fletcher has revealed the weirdest celebrity cameo the show has ever had in its 37-year run.
A range of celebs have visited Ramsey Street over the years from the likes of Emma Bunton, Russell Brand and Lily Allen- but Alan Fletcher says there is one that he will never forget.
Speaking on the I’ve Got News for You podcast, he revealed the cameo he thought was the “most interesting” and “bizarre.”
Ahead of the finale this week, the actor said having Clive James playing a postman on the soap was possibly the most memorable, and there was one reason in particular that made it so strange.
He explained: “Clive James was one of my most interesting [cameos] because he came as a postie, and he had no interaction at all with any of the cast.
“He just rode his bike around the court and then disappeared. And I don’t think anybody got to speak to him.

“He just rode around and rode off! It was the most bizarre thing in the world.”
Clive was a writer and broadcaster probably best known for his shows on ITV and BBC in the 80s and 90s. He spent most of his career in the UK and sadly passed away aged 80, in November 2019.
Fletcher first appeared on the soap back in 1994 as Dr Karl Kennedy and is the 3rd longest-serving actor in an Australian television series- so he’s seen his fair share of celebrity cameos.
Of course, Neighbours is sadly coming to end this week with a huge finale on Thursday (Friday in the UK) that will see some of Ramsey Street’s most beloved characters returning for one last goodbye.
In a teaser trailer released by the soap, we see Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan reunite onscreen as Charlene and Scott Robinson.
Donovan’s daughter Jemma and father Terence are also set to join the finale, reprising their roles as Harlow Robinson and Doug Willis, respectively.
Neighbours season finale will air at 9pm on 29 July on Channel 5 in the UK.
