Bindi Irwin is proving to be as formidable as her late, great father, Steve Irwin. The mother-of-one has urged a generation of young girls to fight for what they believe in and speak for those 'who cannot speak for themselves' in a new empowering book.

The conservationist, who is flying the flag and carrying on the legacy of dad Steve 'The Crocodile Hunter' Irwin, wrote the spine-tingling foreword to sit alongside her feature in the latest edition of the Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls book series.

The fifth edition called 100 Inspiring Young Changemakers is out on September 27 and hopes to 'help to raise the most inspired and confident global generation of girls' and features the inspiring life stories of trailblazing women including Taylor Swift and Greta Thunberg.

She said: "The kindness you show to others, the dreams you are passionate about, and the endeavours you undertake daily are all creating change."

Bindi and her husband Chandler live in Queensland with their daughter Grace Warrior and work at the Irwin family business, Australia Zoo.

They're currently starring in the fourth season of Animal Planet's series Crikey! It's the Irwins with her mum Terri and brother Robert.
