The Wolverine actor has caught COVID.

Most of us have caught coronavirus by now and most of us have wanted a week in bed and lots of liquid to get us through. We're sure that Hugh Jackman has received all of that, in addition to some public trolling by his fellow actor, Ryan Reynolds.

On Monday (June 13th), Jackman announced on Twitter he had tested positive for a second time. The news came a day after his performance at the Tony Awards. As such, the actor’s standby Max Clayton will take his place in the Broadway production of The Music Man.

Reynolds - whose Deadpool character, albeit in fledgling, undeveloped form, previously squared off against Jackman's adamantium clawed character in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine - shared a montage clip featuring pictures of them both.

The video, soundtracked by a sped-up version of ABBA track ‘Angeleyes' and captioned 'Feel better, @thehughjackman', appeared on his Instagram account.

Reynolds video montage was originally created and shared in response to Disney’s acquisition of Fox in 2017. The actor has long hoped for a reunion between Deadpool and Wolverine.

Jackman, who has been adamant about retiring from the role following 2017’s Logan, jokingly reaffirmed his stance using lyrics from Taylor Swift track ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together’.

Get well soon Hugh!
