Kit Harington is attached to reprise the role.

We reported yesterday that the first Game of Thrones spin-off is in the early stages of development at HBO. This means that there are now seven Thrones projects in the works, in addition to the upcoming House of the Dragon prequel series, which debuts on August 21st.

House of the Dragon will tell the story of a civil war within House Targaryen, stars Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke and Paddy Considine, and is set about 200 years before the events of Thrones.

HBO’s other live-action prequels in various stages of development are 10,000 Ships (aka Nymeria) with showrunner Amanda Segel, 9 Voyages (aka The Sea Snake) with showrunner Bruno Heller, and Dunk and Egg with showrunner Steve Conrad.

There are also three animated prequel projects, including The Golden Empire, which is set in the China-inspired land of Yi Ti. The Game of Thrones franchise is growing fast.

But now fans are speculating about what secrets the Jon Snow series might hold. We'll be honest, we know nothing (Jon Snow), but it's certainly fun to guess...

There is an interesting theory that the Jon Snow series could be set many years in the future. Since Jon Snow, as viewers of the original series will know, is essentially a zombie.

But the majority of fan theories concern 'fixing' the disappointing end of Jon's lover/auntie/urgh Daenery's (played by Emilia Clarke) story, whose fire breathing descent into madness during the final series of Thrones felt rushed and out of character.

It feels unlikely that Daenery's will return, as least played by Clarke, though she's previously given her blessing to the continued telling of the Targaryen story.

"Good luck to them is what I would say. I really mean that," she has previously told The Hollywood Reporter.

But finally, a round of applause for Eric's theory, below.

Clap clap clap.
