Albert Square fans are thrilled at this surprise encounter.
After nine years away from EastEnders, Nina Wadia and Nitin Ganatra, who played Zainab and Masood on the soap, sent fans wild when they shared a selfie of their random meet-up.
Nina’s character Zainab fled Walford in February 2013 after a string of failed marriages, including her partnership with Masood.
While Nina hasn’t been on the soap since, Nitin continued his EastEnders run on-and-off until 2019.
Sharing their accidental reunion to her 46.2k followers on Twitter, Nina wrote: “In a city of 8.9 million people…it was bound to happen at some point!”
Fans were ecstatic at the post, with over 21,000 fans liking it. One excited Twitter user wrote: “We’ve waited such a long time to see this. Please go back to Eastenders so I have a reason to watch it again. Loved Zainab and Masood”
Another commented: “My fave Eastenders couple; you were magical together, believable, relatable and adorable.”
A third excstaic fan even suggested the on-screen couple were ‘the Kylie & Jason of The Square.’
Meanwhile, another beloved member of the EastEnders cast is set to say goodbye, with Danny Dyer getting ready to down his last pint in the Queen Vic.
Leaving the BBC soap after nearly a decade, the actor has finally taken 'the leap' and isn't renewing his contract after 'contemplating' it for a while.
Speaking on Sorted with the Dyers podcast with daughter Dani, he said: "I am leaving EastEnders. I'm very lucky, I'm very grateful."
He added: "When you're in a job like a soap, your contract comes up for renewal and every time it has they've asked me to say, and I'm very grateful for that. I've seen a lot of people come and go, it's very tough."
He added: "The big news is I've decided not to renew my contract. That's all.
