Nigella Lawson’s bonkers pronunciation of the word ‘microwave’ didn't just amuse the world beyond belief - it's also been nominated for a BaftaThe viral moment happened when she was seen making a mash potato dish on screen and warming up the milk in her ‘mee-cro-wah-vay’.

Battling it out for Virgin Media’s Must-See Moment Award voted by the public is Diversity’s Black Lives Matter dance routine on Britain’s Got Talent.

Joining them is Lady Whistledown's disguise being revealed on Netflix’s Bridgerton, Chantelle Atkins’ death in EastEnders, Luke Skywalker’s surprise appearance in Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian and the Gogglebox cast berating Boris Johnson’s press conferences.

Chief TV and entertainment officer at Virgin Media, David Bouchier said: "2020 was a year like no other and great television was at the heart of every moment that kept the nation connected, entertained and informed.

"Virgin Media’s Must-See Moment recognises the TV moments that played such a powerful role in all of our lives throughout the past year."

The TV Baftas will be hosted by Richard Ayoade this year and airs on BBC One on June 6.
