Cleaning pro explains how to wash bed sheets properly & what we're doing wrong

One cleaning expert has shed light on all our duvet cover dilemmas - and apparently we've all been washing our sheets the wrong way.

Instagram user Mrs D told her followers the best way to wash and it involves buttoning up the covers before shoving it in the wash.

She explained in the social media clip: "When putting my bedding in the washing machine I always button up the opening once I’ve removed the duvet.

"This will stop your pillowcases and fitted sheet finding their way inside your duvet cover while in the washing machine."

She added the top tip: "While your duvet cover is drying, you can start to make your bed up with the fitted/flat sheet and pillowcases.

"By the time you have done this your duvet cover will be dry and ready to go back on your bed."
