From boring to bling in a day. One woman transformed a dull toilet into a tropical paradise with the help of some bargain bits from these high street shops.

The jungle-themed creation was made using bargains from Ikea and The Range by one savvy spending woman, Loren Pearson.

The inspiring room was turned from a boring whitewash downstairs toilet area to a decadent room of deep blue and gold tones costing just £110.

The small space now boasts a modern two-tone effect with a lick of sapphire blue paint added to the top half of the walls while the bottom has a crisp white finish.

The printed wallpaper is from The Range, the modern black wall mounted mirror is from B&M, with added plants to enhance the jungle theme.

Loren posted her results on the page DIY On A Budget Official Facebook group and wrote: "So a trip to Ikea and The Range today resulted in this improvement of our downstairs toilet... brave and bold, but we love it!

"Just the white to paint tomorrow, and it’s done! Thanks for all the inspiration on this page!!"
