Eddy Temple-Morris caught up with Beck ahead of the release of his new album .

It is Beck's 13th studio album and he's spent the best part of 2017 touring his new music.

He tells Eddy about how he set out to make a happier album and also how the band perform backstage reggae versions of his favourite tracks!

The new album was recorded between 2013 and 2017 at Greg Kurstin's studio in Los Angeles, with Beck and Kurstin playing almost every instrument themselves.

With a few recent band member changes, Beck says it's been an enjoyable experience with the people he has on his team.

He says: "It is like a family. I really look forward to being around them".
