Fresh pants, painkillers and a big knife! - What the Latitude stars wanted in their backstage riders

There have been some weird and wonderful rider requests from bands and artists down the years.
Val Halen asked for a bowl of M&Ms in 1992, “with the brown ones removed”, while Iggy Pop once requested a monitor engineer who is “not afraid of death.”
Mary J. Blige, meanwhile, insisted a brand new toilet seat be installed in every dressing room bathroom during her 35 city tour in 2006.
So, with that in mind, we asked the stars at Latitude this weekend what they asked to be provided backstage…
Louis Berry “I do ask for something weird – a watermelon and a big knife. And I eat the whole thing.”
Bear's Den “Haha! We’re pretty normal, to be honest. Basically, Imodium and socks.” ()
Emmy the Great “Oh my God, I’m really boring, I haven’t asked for anything crazy! I think I asked for the food to be Fairtrade… and glasses instead of plastic cups, because otherwise it’s really wasteful. I heard that MIA asked for three girls in burkas, but I don’t know if that’s true.”
Aurora “Nothing crazy I don’t think… Vegetables. Batteries. Toothpaste. That’s normal, right?”
Little Green Cars “Lots and lots of water, especially if it’s hot. If it’s in bottles they get half drunk and left lying around so we need plenty. Also, our keyboardist drinks about eight cans of Red Bull a day, so we ask for that.”
Steve Mason “I don’t think anyone asks for anything too crazy these days. All I want is Nurofen and cigarettes.”
DMA’S “Fresh underpants. You can’t have too many.”
