Game of Thrones Hannah Waddingham has reacted to finding her old septa garb making a comeback in House of the Dragon.
Ted Lasso star and all-around national treasure Hannah Waddingham recently had fans in stitches after a familiar-looking costume appeared in the latest episode of House of the Dragon.
Before she was the fierce Rebecca Welton on Ted Lasso, Waddingham was Game of Thrones' infamous Septa Unella, best remembered for the iconic "shame" scene with Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).

In the recent episode, Emma D'Arcy's Rhaenyra Targaryen was spotted incognito in King's Landing, wearing an outfit strikingly similar to Waddingham's old Septa attire.
The House of the Dragon's official Instagram account shared a still of Rhaenyra in the outfit, prompting plenty of fans—and Waddingham herself—to make the connection.
"That’s MY outfit!!! Get it off!!!!" Waddingham commented, adding a laughing emoji and the hashtag "#dingshamedingshame" for good measure.
Her playful jab had fans reminiscing about her unforgettable role in Game of Thrones, where she relentlessly tormented Cersei Lannister during her Walk of Atonement.
While Waddingham has since moved on to brighter pastures, starring in hits like The Fall Guy and Sex Education, her time on Game of Thrones remains a significant part of her career.
The bell-ringing Septa Unella became a cultural icon, especially for that brutal walk where she followed Cersei through the streets, chanting "shame" and ringing her bell.
The actress recently shared some behind-the-scenes stories from her time on Game of Thrones, including the moment she realised her character's journey was over.
During a recent interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in April, she said: "When they gave me that bell, I knew my time was up."
Indeed, Septa Unella's ultimate fate remained a mystery, but we did get to she how it began with Waddingham's departure being marked by a particularly gruelling scene.
In a notorious revenge sequence, Cersei gets her own back by waterboarding Unella with wine, and filming that scene was no small feat for Waddingham.
"It was horrific," she told the host. "Ten hours of being actually waterboarded. Like, actually waterboarded."
The experience was so intense that she ranks it among the worst days of her life, right up there with childbirth.
"I was strapped to a wooden table with proper big straps for 10 hours. And definitely, other than childbirth, it was the worst day of my life," Waddingham recounted.
Headey also found the scene tough, though the shared ordeal brought the two actresses closer. "She was uncomfortable pouring liquid in my face for that long, and I was beside myself," Waddingham revealed.
"But in those moments, you go, ‘Do you serve the piece and get on with it?’ Or do you chicken out and go, ‘This isn’t what I signed up for?’"
Despite the challenges, Waddingham and Headey formed a strong bond through their harrowing scenes.
Even as Rhaenyra Targaryen tries to go undercover in King's Landing, fans will always remember who rocked the septa look first.
House of the Dragon season 2 airs on Mondays on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK. In the US, new episodes air on Sundays on HBO and stream on Max.
