Award-winning actor, director, comedian and producer Rebel Wilson told Chris Evans about an interaction with Robin Williams and an "oh my gosh" moment with Barbra Streisand.

Joining the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with webuyanycar, the Aussie star talked about many of the stories from within her book, which delves into the most personal and important moments of her life and career. She explained: "There's so much in his book, and so many people relating to, like, obviously I'm someone who knows what it's like to be a really big person and to be really overweight, and then to lose weight and to get healthier. So there's a lot about that, and my relationship with food, sexuality, love life, crazy stuff from childhood, funny stories and other celebrity stories."

Recalling a sweet encounter with the late Robin Williams while working on 2014 film Night at the Museum 3: Secret of the Tomb, Rebel told Chris. “He was watching me do a scene with Ben Stiller, improvising, and he's like, ‘You could do drama, as well as comedy.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my God,’ coming from him, the legend. And then we just chatted about life. It felt like about two hours.

“And it's in the middle of the night because we do night shifts, because I guess the movie is called Night at the Museum! It's freezing cold, and we've got blankets around us. And I'm looking at his face, he's like the kindest, most gorgeous man and he's giving me some compliments. It was such a beautiful, beautiful experience that I got to have that interaction with him that night.”

She said: “I'm getting emotional thinking about it, but just the warmth that would come off that guy was incredible."

Williams sadly died in 2014, at the age of 63. Rebel told Chris: “He was an absolute legend, and I just feel very, very lucky that I got to have that experience.”

Recounting another experience with a Hollywood icon, the acting star said: “A friend invited me to a villa in the south of France. And they're like, ‘Oh, and Barbara is coming.’ I'm like, “What? Barbra Streisand?’ Like my grandma listened to her CDs non-stop. And I was like, ‘Oh my gosh!’

“She was a real legend. So we're swimming in the pool together, and she's telling me stories about how she directed Yentl, being a woman all those years ago. Now there's more female directors but back then, I mean, what a champion she had to be to do that. And she was just like giving great advice.”

Rebel added: “She taught me how to play this game called Rummikub, not knowing that I was kind of secretly really good at maths. I played her and won, the first time. She's like, ‘hang on.’
