Fuqua also highlighted the significance of Jaafar's embodiment of Michael's spirit, stating: "It goes beyond the physical resemblance. It’s Michael’s spirit that comes through in a magical way. You have to experience it to believe it."

The biopic aims to deliver a riveting and honest portrayal of the multifaceted man who became the King of Pop, presenting both his human side and personal struggles alongside his undeniable creative genius.

From intimate moments to iconic performances, Michael promises an inside look into the life of one of the most influential artists in history.

Produced by Graham King and the co-executors of the Michael Jackson estate, John Branca and John McClain, Michael will be distributed domestically by Lionsgate, with Universal Pictures International handling global distribution, excluding Japan, which Lionsgate will oversee.
