Linda Robson reveals reason she's turned down Celebrity Big Brother 2024

With the new series of Celebrity Big Brother set to arrive next month, Linda Robson has spoken about why she won’t be entering the house.

The line-up of the rebooted celebrity version of the hit reality show is unknown, and it has just been announced that nobody will actually find out who the contestants are until they enter the house on launch night, which will be broadcast live on ITV1 in March.

However, speaking exclusively to virginradio.co.uk at the TV Choice Awards 2024 in London last night (12th February), Loose Women star Linda revealed that she has “just been asked” to be on the show, but turned the opportunity down.

From the star-studded event at the London Hilton on Park Lane, the telly star told us: “I've just been asked to do that, and my kids said, ‘You're not allowed to’. I said, ‘I don't drink now’. So, when I was drinking, I could understand why they wouldn't want me in there. But now I don't drink, I said, ‘I think I'm quite safe.’ They went, ‘No you'll say something… and then you'll be in trouble.’”

She added: “I would have loved to have gone in there. I was ready to go in but my two sisters and my three kids said, ‘No, mum, you're not going in there’. And I always listen to them. They're normally right.” 

While the Birds of a Feather star won’t be entering the Big Brother House, she did tell us that enjoyed another reality show. “I did watch the Traitors,” she said. “I watched it with my son every night… I wanted Diane to win. I mean lots of people wanted Diane to win, didn't they?”

Despite enjoying the show, you’re not likely to see Linda on The Traitors, if there is ever a celebrity version in the UK. “I can't keep a secret, so you've had it,” she said. “They wouldn't ask me because they know. On Loose Women, if there's something coming out, they don't tell me until the day because they know I'm gonna tell everyone. So, that's why I'm called ‘baggy mouth’!”
