Graham Norton’s brand new Prime Video series is about to land on the streaming platform, and we’ve got all the details!

Virgin Radio’s own Graham will front Prime’s first Irish Original comedy series, with a host of some of Ireland’s biggest and best comedic talent. 

But what is LOL about, and who can we expect to see bringing out their best jokes? Here’s everything you need to know about LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland. 

What is LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland? 

LOL is based on a Japanese series called Documental, where 10 comedians bet their own money in an “anything-goes battle of laughter behind closed doors”.

The Irish adaptation will see 10 of Ireland’s most sought-after comedy stars brought together to make each other laugh, but they must not crack a smile in order to win and the last person smiling! 

Bringing out everything in the comedy tool box, the funny stars will do their best to force a smile on their competitors, but there will also be some big-name celebrities to impress too.

Whoever can last without so much as a smirk as the clock runs down will be crowned the very first winner of LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland, and they will win a grand prize of €50,000 (£43,280) for their charity of choice.

Who will star in LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland? 

Get ready to get the giggles as some of Ireland’s top comedy talent will be taking part in LOL. 

Graham is at the helm as the host and is in pretty good company. 

This Way Up star Aisling Bea, The Clinic’s Amy Huberman, stand-up performer David McSavage, Deirdre O'Kane, Emma Doran, Live at the Apollo alum Jason Byrne, Mock The Week star Catherine Bohart, writer Martin Angolo, comic and voice actor Paul Tylak and improviser Tony Cantwell will all compete the charity cash prize.

There is indeed! The teaser is a playful montage of all 10 comedians struggling to hold in their laughs, but fail at the last moment resulting in a stern-faced Graham flashing the red card.

Last One Laughing Ireland will launch Friday 19th January 2024, globally on Prime Video.
