Fans wonder if love is in the air for Lewis Hamilton and Shakira after celebration

The rumour mill is swirling over whether Lewis Hamilton and Shakira are more than friends after they were spotted celebrating together.

The star has been spotted out for dinner with Shakira to celebrate his podium finish at the Spanish Grand Prix.

A friend shared a photo of Lewis with his arm around Shakira's waist, following his success in Barcelona.

Earlier in the day, 'Hips Don't Lie' star Shakira was caught in camera enjoying the race trackside.

Songwriter Mustafa shared the photo after the race.

Earlier on the day he shared a pic on Instagram saying the race: “Here for Lewis.”

He later wrote: “In all truth, what Lewis does is unparalleled, all the politics at play, nothing like his position has ever existed and surely not with the grace he holds it in."

This isn't the first time Lewis and Shakira have been seen enjoying each other's company.

They were also seen together on a boat trip with friends ahead of the Miami Grand Prix before going out for dinner.

Fans commented on social media: “I’m here for the Lewis Hamilton-Shakira power couple era, they both deserve it.”

Another wrote: “Shakira and Lewis Hamilton might be the hottest people to ever step on this planet.”

One agreed: "I'm fairly invested in the Shakira / Lewis Hamilton love story.”

Shakira split up with Gerard Pique last year.

However, Shakira has also been linked to Tom Cruise as well.

Page Six quoted a source as saying that Cruise and Shakira have “chemistry”.

They said: “He is extremely interested in pursuing her. There is chemistry. Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom.”

They added that Cruise is “a nice-looking guy, and he is talented.”

Fans will have to wait and see if romance blossoms.
