Everyone starts somewhere, and Hollywood star Jack Black's first acting role was for a computer game advert.

He has become a superstar over the last few decades, thanks to roles like School Of Rock and Jumanji.

Jack is also a musician in the likes of Tenacious D and as a solo act.

He also stole the show as Bowser in the latest Mario film.

He was just 13 years old when he had his first role, he appeared in an advert for Activision's game called 'Pitfall!'

He laned the role in 1982, for the Atari 2600 console.

Watch the advert below:

Jack is seen in the advert wearing a Safari style helmet (similar to the one his Jumanji character Professor Sheldon Oberon wears!)

The plot of the gave is very similar to Jumanji too.

"Just last night, I was lost in the jungle with Pitfall Harry, surrounding by giant scorpions and man-eating crocodiles!" he exclaims.

Jack looked back on the clip in a sweet video, and shares his memory of the moment and the game.

Watch below:

"This is Pitfall, this was my first job" he says.

"I did a Pitfall commercial, it was 1982, I was 13 years old. And at the time, this was the most badass video game ever created.

"The graphics were like 'What?! it looks like a human running, and jumping over stuff!' It was a great commercial gig for me to have because I really believed in the product".

The game went on to sell millions of copies.
