Lorraine Kelly has addressed reports of a feud between This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Kelly, who is the host of ITV talk show Lorraine, broke her silence about reports of “tension” between the pair in an interview with The Sun.

She said: “Do you know what? They were back today and it was business as usual and everyone is just getting on with it.”

The presenter also said that it is “unlikely” either of them would leave This Morning and added: “I would be sad if they left the show but I don’t think that is ever likely to happen and I think they’re just getting on with it.”

Schofield also addressed the rumours in an interview with the publication last week (12th May), where he admitted the last few weeks hadn’t “been easy” for them.

He explained: “As I have said before, Holly is my rock. We’re the best of friends — as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone.

"Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her.”

The duo returned to This Morning on Monday (15th May) but viewers could not help but speculate on their “strained” relationship.

One viewer commented: "Phillip Schofield thinks he can fool us with this fake nice 'everything is fine act' when Holly looks visibly uncomfortable being there."

A second fan said: "And the award for best acting in a reality morning talk show...is...Holly and Phil."

A third claimed: "It’s actually so awkward watching Phil and Holly put on a united front. Holly’s doing well but Phil looks so on edge."

While a fourth added: "Holly and Phil ignoring the elephant in the room during the news review on #ThisMorning.”
