Can you believe Planes, Trains and Automobiles is marking its 35th anniversary this month? Now you can clap your eyes on the stars in never-been-seen-before clips, behind-the-scenes footage and documentaries from the 1987 classic Thanksgiving-inspired comedy.

The new offering is being released for the first time ever in a new digital and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray with a bonus Lost Luggage Blu-ray disc featuring over an hour of previously unearthed and extended scenes that were recently discovered in the archive of the late writer, producer and director John Hughes, plus footage from Dylan Baker's original audition as Owen.

Behind-the-scenes extras include a feature called Getting There is Half the Fun: The Story of Planes, Trains and Automobiles, a two-part documentary Life Moves Pretty Fast and a featurette John Hughes for Adults, and A Tribute to John Candy who died in 1994 of a heart attack aged 43.

The original synopsis reads: "Steve Martin and John Candy star in John Hughes' classic tale of holiday travel gone awry. Neal Page (Martin) is an uptight advertising executive trying to get home to Chicago for Thanksgiving.

"When his flight is rerouted to Wichita, he reluctantly partners with Del Griffith (Candy), an obnoxious yet loveable salesman. Together, they embark on a cross-country adventure that includes various modes of transportation, hilarious mishaps, and unforgettable rental car shenanigans."

Planes, Trains and Automobiles releases in 4K Ultra HD on November 22.
