Have we all recovered from last night yet? We haven't? Same here.

There wasn't a dry eye in the universe after the thirteenth incarnation of the Doctor, Jodie Whittaker, bid goodbye to Doctor Who last night.

But it appears that her last day on set was especially memorable, telling Digital Spy - in an interview that also involved co-star Mandip Gill - that she experienced a whirlwind of emotions.

"When I did some scenes on the TARDIS in the morning, and when we got in – the crew had lined up and they clap you, like a sports star," said Skelmanthorpe born Jodie, 40.

"Then when it was time for Mandip to come on, and I knew it was going to happen, I was so excited!" she continued. "I was really crying and laughing and clapping. That was emotional, wasn't it?"

Mandip, 34, added, "And the execs were there. Everyone was around us. It was emotional."

Digital Spy went on to ask Jodie and Mandip if they felt 'pressure' in advance of last nights finale.

"I suppose the pressure's gone, because it's done now, isn't it? They can't fire us!" laughed Jodie.

She continued, "I think the pressure... I don't feel pressure. I just feel nostalgic and quite emotional. And, you know, we were really lucky that we filmed this a year ago, so we still had an entire year of being Yaz and the Doctor, for all intents and purposes."

She said, "The good thing is, if you're really emotional about something, it's because it's been an extraordinary time. So that's the major takeaway that's been so incredible. But it doesn't stop me putting on a bottom lip."

Girls, you did us proud. Thankyou for your service!
