Ryan Gosling is set to star in an action-packed new Netflix movie soon, and, with the film being released in less than a month, a new poster has landed to whet our appetites.

In stark contrast to the bright and colourful images of the Hollywood A-lister as Ken for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie film, the promotional poster for The Gray Man sees Gosling literally fading away into the background.

The Gray Man will also star Chris Evans (no, not our Chris Evans), as well as Ana De Armas from the latest Bond movie. She last worked with Gosling in Blade Runner 2049. Jessica Henwick from Game of Thrones, Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page, and the legendary Billy Bob Thornton make up an impressive cast, along with Wagner Moura, Dhanush, Alfre Woodard, Julia Butters, Eme Ikwuakor, and Scott Haze.

Check out the new poster here:

Directed by The Russo Brothers, The Gray Man sees Gosling play Court Gentry, aka Sierra Six, who is a CIA operative plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton).

Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death, but the tables have turned and Six is now the target, hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a former cohort at the CIA, who will stop at nothing to take him out.

Ana de Armas’ Agent Dani Miranda has his back, and it sounds like he’ll need it.

Elsewhere, Ryan Gosling’s Ken will appear alongside Margot Robbie’s Barbie next year. The live-action film will see a doll expelled from Barbieland or not being perfect enough, and therefore set off on an adventure in the real world.

The Gray Man arrives on Netflix on July 22nd.
