Gangs of London fans get a glimpse of series 2 in brand new teaser trailer

Two years after the first series, Gangs of London is heading back to the small screen. 

(Spoilers ahead if you’ve not seen series one!)

The Sky crime drama sees the return to ex-undercover cop Elliot (Sope Dirisu), one year after the death of Sean Wallace (Joe Cole). 

From the trailer alone, it’s clear series two will be chock full of dark twists and turns, as Elliot continues to dive deeper into the criminal underworld. 

Sky’s official synopsis reads: “One year after the death of Sean Wallace and the violent reckonings of series one, the map and soul of London has been redrawn. The surviving Wallaces are scattered, the Dumanis broken and estranged, and Elliot is now being forced to work for the Investors.

“As the Investors look down on a city sliding into chaos they decide enough is enough and bring in reinforcements to restore control. Old favourites and new players fight back against the new order, forcing sworn enemies to work together and family members to betray each other. Who will win the battle for London’s soul?”

The BAFTA-winning series will see the return to Sope, with Paapa Essiedu,  Lucian Msamati, Michelle Fairley, Orli Shuka, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Brian Vernel, Narges Rashidi, Asif Raza and Valene Kane.

Joining the cast for series two includes French rapper Jasmine Armando in her first TV role, A Private War star Fady El-Sayed and SAS: Red Notice actor Aymen Hamdouchi.

Gangs of London series 2 is set to air on Sky and NOW in 2022.
